Woolwich have reportedly submitted an opening offer of €30m for Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba.
The Gooners have already reached an agreement with the 18-year-old on terms should they reach a deal with the Ligue 1 club, but according to RMC Sport, negotiations are now underway to complete a deal between the two clubs.
One of the French club’s main conditions to agreeing a sale is that the player is loaned back to tem for a year.
According to L’Equipe via GFFN, the centre-back would prefer a move to the Gooners after agreeing terms for a contract last week, but Spurs have reportedly entered the race to sign the defender.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are apparently in talks with the player’s representatives and confident that they can agree personal terms ahead of a move.
Negotiations between Arsenal, Saint Etienne and Saliba were in their very final stages - much of it already in the hands of lawyers to agree wording of contracts etc - but Tottenham have reignited their interest and are now pushing hard to get the deal completed #AFC #THFC #ASSE
Dette hadde jo mildt sagt vært gøy om skjedde, uten at jeg kjenner spilleren noe særlig. Men tyder kanskje også på at noen snart kommer til å aktivere Tobys utkjøpsklausul.
